Progress on my project 'T' in Wellington!! I got my front end reassembled with rechromed batwings etc, fitted rezinced bolts etc, fitted front suspension/axle back on, refitted radiator, made new rad hoses, fitted new headlight buckets, fitted zoomies after mucho playing round with them (grrrrr), got wheels together had tyres fitted, one tyre went flat by the time I got home, got it back to tyre shop to get sorted, fired up motor with no baffles in the zoomies, sounds 'kin incredibly good and 'kin loud in a single car garage at the end of a cul-de-sac. exhaust gases blew radiator surround off its hook on the wall and damaged the surround. fitted damaged radiator surround, will deal to that when i get back, Fitted baffles to pipes, marginaly better, still loud, checked all fluids and tested lights. now all I got to do is pick up wheels, fit them, take car to get a WOF (it'll past straight through... ??) and drive, spanner check and clean all weekend!! yay ;D

Last minute thrashes!!! We know all about that......
We had a really good day working on the car last Thursday - all that is left to do is the vacuum lines, coil wire, dipstick and finalising the wiring. We plan to do this on Monday and fire it up then cut some laps.......
The owner of roadster, Geoff, popped in on Thrusday afternoon and saw the car for the first time. I think he is happy! Hey Geoff - we know you lurk here - why not post a message telling us your impressions???
Will keep you posted next week......

Well the team did it! Here's how it panned out: Thursday - finally got it running right mid afternoon. Took it for a test drive out to Onemana turn off with Bo. Made it okay but a bit gutless. Made a few changes and gave it a bit of a tidy up. Friday morning - start it up at the school to take down for the start of the Thundercruise - no electric fuel pump and flat battery. d**n! Made it okay and then lead the AWESOME cruise out to Onemana. Waited until everyone was parked and then the crew jumped in the van and followed the roadster back to the school - about 3:30pm. While I was setting up for the Drive in Movie the crew pulled the car completely apart and loaded it into the van and Meads Auto Trimmers trailer by 9pm...... Saturday morning - deliver the van and trailer to the Main Street and set up the Hot Rod Challenge Area. 11am hand the keys to the van to the boys - Bo, Rick and Morgan plus 3 helpers. The clock was ticking........ 1 hour 50 minutes later the car was fired up and put through the gears - amazing! Well done to the team - Bo, Rick, Morgan, Craig, Andy and Bob. We gave each of the kids $200 for doing such a great job. So who wants to have a go next year? ? Can you beat 1hr:50min? ? Noddy
